

Active8 is a fitness studio offering activities like MAT, personal training, and Pilates. Their goal was to reach trainers who wanted a space to teach private or group classes.
Victoria was responsible for demand generation and setting up Active8’s campaign in Resquared.
“Without Resquared, Active8 would have been prospecting by Googling gyms or focusing on people in the industry that we knew.”
The bigger issue was visibility into the right people.
“There was no way for us to identify any sort of trainers, especially because a lot of the trainers that we’re reaching out to or we want to work with are already working at a gym and have a schedule or a class there.”
This made traditional, in-person outreach difficult and often unproductive.
“Typically, if you’re going into a gym to try and not necessarily poach, but work with their trainers, going in can be met with a lot of resistance. There is always a gatekeeper.”
Active8 needed a way to reach trainers directly, without relying on walk-ins, referrals, or manual research.
“With Resquared, we didn’t have that same resistance to there being a gatekeeper for us to talk to the trainers. We were able to reach out to them a lot more directly instead.
We’re a really nimble team. There also wouldn’t be a way for us to easily track the leads that were generated when we have such a high volume of responses.”
Victoria leaned into AI-assisted outreach to keep the process simple and scalable.
“I leaned really heavily into the AI process. I was offering a space for rent to people who are trainers. I reached out to the owner’s name. I mentioned who I am in the studio. I mentioned our boutique and referenced the location, but I didn’t give an exact location.”
She shared the tip of not giving all the details in the first email, so prospects are more likely to reply asking for more information.
“I didn’t give an exact location so that I could get some response or inquiry on it rather than them just searching it up.”
To personalize outreach at scale, Active8 used AI Snippets to tailor each message to the recipient’s business.
“I utilized the AI snippet, which worked really well here. It was able to give me some good insight into the different studios.”
Follow-up also played a major role in performance. A simple 3-step email sequence allowed Active8 to stay top of mind without adding manual work.
“Looking at my responses, the majority of my responses and leads that I generated came from the third step of the sequence.
We see a lot of traction in this continued follow-up, which before Resquared, wouldn't have been possible for Active8. We’re a really nimble team. So no one was able to maintain these conversations.”

“I’m at 77 leads, 189 responses. We’ve had multiple people visit the space now. We’re in the midst of conversing with different contract opportunities for renting out the space.”
